Turkey Trot 2019 Half Marathon

08/11/2019 by Digital Media

10.30am Sunday 8th December 2019

Raising Funds for 1st Keyworth Scout Group

The annual Keyworth Turkey Trot half marathon will take place this year on Sunday 8th December. To improve the overall safety of the event it is anticipated that some roads around the race venue at South Wolds Academy and along the early stages of the race route will be closed to traffic for short periods while the runners go past.

We recognise that this might cause some inconvenience. However, we hope that you will understand that these measures significantly improve the safety of the runners and assist motorists. We will do our utmost to ensure the closures are kept as short as possible and removed promptly. Provisionally, the roads affected will be:

Road Estimated closure period Section affected
Church Drive 10:00–10:40 Full length from Nottingham Road to Wolds Drive
Church Drive 11:30–13:00 Central section from Walton Drive to Leisure Centre
Wolds Drive 10:27–10:37 From junction with Church Drive to Selby Lane
Selby Lane 10:28–10:38 From junction with Wolds Drive to The Square
Nottingham  Road 10:30–10:42 Through The Square, from Selby Lane to Bunny Lane
Bunny Lane 10:32–10:52 From Nottingham Road to junction at Manor Road, with additional delays from Manor Road to Rancliffe Wood

There will also be restrictions on parking along Church Drive and Walton Drive on the morning of the event.

Note that times indicated are approximate and depend on the speed of the runners!
During these times it will not be possible to exit from side roads joining the roads listed.

Thank you for your support.
