Try something new this September!

05/09/2022 by Digital Media

Ladies, if you’ve ever thought of joining a choir, now is a great time to take that first step!

At 7.30pm on Tuesday 6th September, Wollaton Singers will be having a ‘Taster Session’ for ladies who might like to try joining a friendly and ambitious choir.

It will be at our usual rehearsal venue, St Barnabas’ Church, Inham Nook, NG9 4HU, a spacious hall with good acoustics, right on the number 36 bus route. We sing a wide range of short (often modern) pieces, usually in 2 or 3 parts: Soprano 1, 2 and Alto.

There are no auditions and you do not have to read music, although obviously it helps.

We perform 3 concerts per year in various venues around NG8 and NG9 in support of different charities.  Rehearsals are on Tuesdays in term time from 7.30pm until 9.30pm with a short break for refreshments (and socialising) part way through. We have a fantastic conductor who makes learning new pieces fun (as well as challenging sometimes) and there are plenty of laughs.

If you can’t make the special Taster Session on 6th September or hear about it too late, you are welcome to come along on any Tuesday in term time to have a go!

For more information contact Sue Hogg, the Secretary at [email protected] or check out our website.
