Toot Hill School compete at National Swimming Competition

20/12/2022 by Digital Media

On Saturday 19th November, nine boys from Toot Hill School, travelled to the London Aquatic  centre (home to the 2012 Olympics) to take part in the English Schools National finals.

Only 30 schools from the whole country qualify for each event and Toot Hill had boys qualify for both the freestyle and medley 4x50m relays at Junior and Senior level.

The junior team were Oscar Ferrar, Kingsley Chan, Will Newham and Joe Ashmore.

The senior team were Lewis Warner, James Berry, George Cummings, Noah Rai and James Blackman-Edney.

Both teams made the final of the Medley relay, meaning they finished 8th and 9th in the country and finished as top state school.

The boys were kindly sponsored by Wall2Wall security, who provided swim caps and hoodies so that the boys looked the part.

All of the boys were fantastic and represented their school with pride.
