Bowling Green

The local Lawn Green Bowling club hold matches, tournaments and practice meetings weekly.  If you are interested in “having a go” or wish to find out more about the club, please speak with the Parish Clerk who will forward your details to the Secretary.  An excellent way to exercise whilst being in the fresh air and any new members are always welcome.

Football

The William Lee Memorial Park has two full size football pitches and one 5-a-side/junior pitch.  These can be hired by local teams for both club and amateur level for matches, training and friendlies.  There are 4 sets of changing rooms with showers and toilets which are suitable for 2 teams.  There is also a separate Referee’s changing room.

Tennis

There are 2 Tennis Courts available to hire at a cost of £10 per key.  This gives unlimited access to the courts.

MUGA

The park also has a MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) used for basketball, netball and 5-a-side football.  This area can also be used by parents teaching their children the basics of cycling and those returning to cycling after an absence of a few years.  Please only use the MUGA for cycling if not being used by others for sports etc.  This is also an area that has been used for radio controlled cars.

Skate-park

The skate-park has several ramps for BMX bikes, scooters and skateboards.  Something for all ages and abilities!

Fitness Trail

The Park also boats a WoodenTrim Trail/Assault Course designed for ages 14+ and an Outdoor Gym for general public, something for all abilities and ages.

Friends of William Lee Memorial Park

Volunteers needed!  We need people of all ages to help with the Management Plan for the William Lee Memorial Park, Village Hall and Wildlife Area

If you can spare an hour or more a week and would be willing to help with tasks around the park, including bulb planting, tree/shrub planting and light pruning, you are the kind of person we need!

We have lots of ideas for the Park and Wildlife Area but need your help to take them forward
