Well, who knows? Why not start off 2020 positively by joining in with an organisation which welcomes those no longer in full-time work who would like to pursue life enhancing activities – from theatre visits, learning a language or enjoying our local ale and music gigs to gliding and indoor skydiving! Hopefully there should be something for everyone. We welcome all adults who have the time and inclination to take part, make new friends or re-establish old acquaintances and LIVE LAUGH & LEARN with U3A.
We meet on the third Wednesday of every month at 2pm in the Methodist Centre in Bingham. Our first meeting of 2020 welcomes Colin Deeley on 15th January who will speak on ‘Stoneywell and the Arts and Crafts Movement’. Colin will give an illustrated talk about this Leicestershire National Trust property, the home of the Gimson family for over a century.
The following month, on 19th February, Richard Booth joins us with ‘Route 66 – The Journey of a Lifetime’. This is an extremely interesting illustrated talk of a guided road trip, which Richard undertook with a group of friends, exploring Route 66 on Harley Davidson bikes. Vroom, vroom!
Visitors are welcome to come for a look/see and pay a £1.
