The Vale of Belvoir Rotary Club is inviting the community to dive in for a good cause with its Swimathon 2026, taking place on Saturday 20 June 2026 at 1pm at The Bingham Arena.
The popular fundraising event will see swimmers aged 8 and over, with a minimum Level 6 swimming ability, take to the pool in teams of up to six. Participants are encouraged to collect sponsorship and, uniquely, to choose the cause they wish to support, giving swimmers direct involvement in where their fundraising efforts make a difference.
Rotary organisers say the event is designed to be inclusive, fun and community-focused, appealing to families, schools, swimming clubs and groups of friends. “You decide on the cause, you build your team, and you collect the sponsorship – we take care of the rest,” a Rotary spokesperson said.
The Swimathon is being supported by Wyvern Engineering Services Ltd and T.M.S Hardware, whose generous backing has helped make the event possible. Funds raised will support a range of charitable projects, both locally and further afield, in line with Rotary’s international “Unite for Good” mission.
Registration is now open, with sign-up available via the QR code below.
