The Pudding Pantry is coming to Beeston

04/02/2021 by Digital Media

A popular Nottingham based café chain is set to open their 3rd site on High Road in Beeston.

As well as enticing puddings, the cafe specialises in afternoon tea and cakes such as chocolate orange brownies, cornflake tarts, Jammie Dodger tiffins, and fluffy American pancakes topped with salted caramel and hazelnut praline or raspberry Bakewell.

Brunch takes up a big chunk of the menu with a full breakfast of pancakes, egg, bacon and sausage, eggs Benedict, peppered pastrami and halloumi hash, and homemade beans on sourdough toast.

The Pudding Pantry also has a wide range of delicious vegan options with a separate menu offering brunch, oatshakes and cakes.

Anthony Quinn, who runs the business with his wife Emma, said the new Beeston café will open on High Road.

But he’s keeping quiet about the exact location, which will be revealed all in good time along with a potential opening date.

Anthony said: “We have had our eye on Beeston for a while, it services quite a large area in Nottingham as a shopping destination, a place to eat and now a place so go in the evening with the new cinema.

“We believe Beeston to be an up and coming area in Greater Nottingham that will rival other suburbs, now with the tram links and the investment in the area.

“We have now established ourselves in north Nottingham (Sherwood) as well as central (Trinity Square) and wanted a good location in the south too.”

Since having to close due to lockdown and tier restrictions, the Pudding Pantry had adapted to serving takeaways, afternoon tea boxes and pancake kits from the Sherwood site, on Mansfield Road.

Anthony continued, “We are taking a gamble with opening up a third site during a pandemic but believe by the time we open the city and country will be in a much stronger position with the arrival of the vaccines, we’re also very confident in our support from our amazing customers, who have been incredible during lockdown.

“We’re all very excited for 2021 and we are really pleased to be bringing The Pudding Pantry to Beeston.”
