The Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades of Beeston perform their 74th Annual Pantomime ‘The Wizard of Oz’ by Alex Jackson. This is the first time ever the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades will be ‘going over the rainbow’. This pantomime is brand new to us and has never been performed before by the Brigades.
The scripts have been printed, costumes are being sewn, stage scenery and props are being built, lighting and sound is being created and edited and the rehearsals are well under way.
We have some great characters in our panto this year with Tom Jowett reprising his role as the Dame, Auntie Em, Ruby Stables as Dorothy, Osian Halliday-Jones as the Scarecrow, Hudson Swinscoe as the Lion, Carissa Hand as the Tin Woman, Jacob Emuss as the Wizard and let’s not forget the good and bad witches, Neve Swinscoe as Glinda the Good and Sophie Wilson as the Wicked Witch of the West…booo! All supported by the marvellous cast from the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades in Beeston, we can’t wait to meet you all in January.
In this adaptation of The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy and her Auntie Em get whisked away by a hurricane and land in the magical and wonderful world of Oz. In Oz they meet a lot of new friends and a few not so friendly people as they try to make their way home.
With lots of twists and turns along the way, laughter, dance and songs, the Brigades’ pantomime will be a great night out for all the family. So please come along and support the young people of the Beeston Brigades and join in the fun.
The performances are Thursday 23th, Friday 24th and 2 performances Saturday 25th January 2025. Start times are 6:30pm for the evening performances 2pm for the matinee performance on Saturday.
