The Bookcase preparing to host Lowdham Book Festival 2025

The Bookcase is once again hosting Lowdham Book Festival which takes place from Friday 20 to Saturday 28 June 2025.  

The final touches are being put to the programme and full details will be available to view on www.thebookcase.co.uk from the end of April.  

There will be a World War II themed day on Saturday 21 June at Lowdham Village Hall with three fantastic authors appearing, Sinclair Mackay, Anne Sebba and Damien Lewis. Alan Johnson will be at Woodborough Hall on Monday 23 June in the afternoon, talking about his new book on Harold Wilson. 

An evening for crime fiction fans, taking place on Tuesday 24 June at Southwell Library, with TM Logan, Nikki Smith and Lesley Kara discussing their latest novels, and then a very special afternoon for cricket lovers happening at Caythorpe Cricket Club on Wednesday 25 June with authors David Kynsaston and Huw Turbervill.  

An afternoon trip to Thrumpton Hall is on offer on Friday 27 June, and then the week closes with a fun event for children based on the bestselling Tales From Acorn Woods series on Saturday 28 June when there will be activities, storytelling, crafts – and a special guest appearance from Postman Bear!
