The Little Ted Foundation has been awarded £500 from Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, after being announced as the winner of the homebuilder’s Community Chest competition.
Residents living in Bingham and the surrounding local area were invited to nominate local good causes. Once all of the entries were considered, Taylor Wimpey awarded The Little Ted Foundation with the top prize.
The Little Ted Foundation was founded by Jessica Neal and her husband Lee following the loss of their 16-month-old baby boy, Ted, to cancer in April 2022. The Foundation supports families across the UK with seriously ill children and bereaved families who have lost a child by offering grants and getaways when families need them most.
Jessica Neal, Co-founder and Managing Director at The Little Ted Foundation said: “We are really delighted to be the winner of Taylor Wimpey’s Community Chest. This £500 award brings us a step closer to purchasing our second caravan, “Little Ted’s Seaside Lodge”, located in Devon. With this, we will be able to provide our free of charge Getaways to twice the number of families with seriously ill children compared to our current capacity, allowing these families to create invaluable shared moments and treasured memories.”
