Value garden centre group Cherry Lane is inviting its customers to nominate their favourite local group, club or charity for a special community giveaway.
Taking place as part of its 21st anniversary celebrations, Cherry Lane is looking to reward great causes in the community by donating 21 special hardwood garden benches. Cherry Lane is asking customers to suggest a group, club or charity who they think deserves a treat and should receive a bench from their local garden centre.
Entries must be submitted either in-store at Cherry Lane or online by 31st July 2022. The nominations will be reviewed by Cherry Lane’s local store and head office teams, with a winner chosen for each location during August.
Katie Alexander, assistant manager at Cherry Lane Bradmore, said: “As part of our 21st anniversary celebrations, we wanted to give something back to the brilliant communities in which we are based. Cherry Lane was welcomed with open arms here and this is our way of saying thank you to customers who have supported us and continue to do so. We’re looking for local causes who do great things and could make good use of a lovely seating bench. Anyone can be nominated – from a local cricket club to a weekly social group or even a school – customers simply need to tell us who they are and why they deserve a little treat. We can’t wait to receive the nominations and install these benches as our gift to the community.”
The UK’s only value garden centre group, Cherry Lane was established in 2001. During the past 21 years, Cherry Lane has gone from strength to strength, starting as a group of three garden centres in East Anglia and growing to 17 across the country today, reaching from Suffolk to Worcester and Essex to Yorkshire. Cherry Lane now also has five of its own on-site nurseries, which cultivate the group’s Grown by Us range of homegrown plants that are sold across the business.
