StepOutStayOut need your help

22/02/2021 by Digital Media

StepoutStayOut are a local community organisation who are now part of the Co-Op Local Community Fund.

Stepoutstayout are a group who work on the estate to engage young people through sport.

They are a footballing project created by ex-offender Pete Bell, designed to give those within HMP a chance to develop coaching and mentoring skills, and create a motivational environment, to help avoid the vicious circle of release and re-imprisonment. Giving hope and a vision to the next generation…Stepping Out and Staying Out of crime

StepOutStayOut provides sporting activities for all ages in the Clifton area. This includes weekly coaching sessions for young people, walking football for all ages and Jumpers 4 Goalposts events, which are inclusive to the whole estate and demonstrate their holistic approach. Their purpose is to develop future leaders for Clifton, encourage safer communities and build community cohesion.

Currently they have a group who get together on a Friday evening to play sports at the Clifton football centre between 6pm and 8pm.

Their annual Jumpers 4 goalposts event brings the estate together with their partners, the Police, HMP Lowdham Grange Prison and the Army.

StepOutStayOut are appealing for help to raise money for the organisation to continue to support young people. Donations can be made at Clifton Funeralcare and Ruddington Co-op.
