Using the rich history and heritage of sport, two new Sporting Memories clubs will open to people over the age of 50 who enjoy reminiscing about their experiences of watching or playing sport. The clubs will take place each week and will be a friendly, welcoming environment for people who are living with dementia, depression or loneliness and who want to talk sport and meet new people. The sessions will include quizzes, games and light physical activity.
The clubs will be delivered in partnership with LLeisure and The Studio in Beeston through funding from Nottinghamshire County Council’s Social Recovery Fund. All sessions are free to attend.
We are also looking for volunteers to help facilitate with training and ongoing support provided.

Sporting Memories Chilwell – Friday 29th April 10am- 12 midday (for people over 50 who are less active)
