South Nottinghamshire Academy in Radcliffe on Trent recently hosted an exciting STEM Week for Year 8 students, collaborating with industry experts and educational institutions to ignite their passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Activities included sessions with The British Army, Games Design with the University of Arts, and Digital Finance with Capital One. Students also participated in an Enterprise Challenge Day and engaging STEM activities led by school subjects. The highlight was a Careers Fair where all Year groups had the opportunity to meet with over 68 employers, universities, and training providers.
Assistant Headteacher Mr Peyton said ”The week aimed to inspire students’ interest in STEM fields, offering hands-on experiences and valuable insights into potential career pathways.
