Showcase Cinema de Lux Nottingham is proud to announce it is sponsoring local football team, Riverside Rapids U12s.
The Riverside Rapids is a mixed football team based in Nottingham, playing in the YEL Nottingham league. Last season they won the league and cup for the U11s age group, and the national cinema chain will be sponsoring the team’s match kit and sweatshirts.
Showcase Cinemas are sponsoring over a dozen local sports teams across the country, covering sports from football to rugby, athletics to swimming, supporting local communities surrounding its cinema locations.
Mark Barlow, General Manager, Showcase Cinemas UK, said: “We’re aware that many local schools and sports clubs struggle for funding to provide kit and equipment, so we’re delighted to announce that we’ll be sponsoring local teams across the country. Working with and providing for the local community is extremely important to Showcase and we are excited to sponsor Riverside Rapids U12s. With youth football extremely popular in and around Nottingham, we want to encourage the next generation of young footballers to develop their sporting talents even further.”
