Dates have been unveiled for the increasingly popular East Leake Market – with exciting plans for this year.
There’ll be seven twilight markets across 2022, more than ever before. The first will be at 3-8pm on Friday April 8, on the main village car park on Gotham Road. It will feature an Easter Bunny treasure hunt, with chocolate to be won!
The market will continue at the same times through the spring and summer on Gotham Road Recreation Field, on the second Friday of each month:
May 13
June 10
July 8
August 12
September 9
The May-September events will all feature live music acts, as well as the usual array of stalls selling artisan goods and food. Other attractions such as children’s face-painting are also planned, to confirm the market as an event for all the family.
The year will culminate with the East Leake Christmas Market on December 2, with stalls across the Gotham Road and Parish Council car parks – and, for the first time, also in the Village Hall.
Market Manager Meg Kozian said: “We’re very proud of how quickly the market has established itself as a big part of village life. This year promises to be the most exciting yet, and we look forward to more fantastic support from local people.”
Regular updates on East Leake Market are available on its Facebook page and Instagram account.
