Rushcliffe Country Park’s play area is now open following investment in refurbishments with upgrades and new accessible equipment open for children to enjoy at the popular site.
The Ruddington based park now boasts a new Kanope Tower multi-play unit featuring 14 different play elements and a new wooden trail and offers panoramic views of the park.
The play area has also welcomed a new pendulum pod swing and a fully inclusive wheelchair see-saw.
Existing equipment has been refurbished and improved with the full scheme adding 28 new play elements and 47 additional user activities.
Works have been completed by Bradmore based playground equipment supplier Proludic Ltd, who designed the updated features.
To mark the reopening of the play area, RBC, Proludic Ltd and local children from St Peter’s CofE Junior School in Ruddington celebrated with a ribbon cutting at the park on Monday June 10.
St Peter’s CofE Junior School’s Headteacher Michael Bradley added: “We were delighted to be invited to the official re-opening of the play area at Rushcliffe Country Park.
“As a regular visitor with my two young children, I was keen to see the improvements that had been made and was extremely impressed.
“Our year 3 pupils had a fantastic time exploring and playing on the new equipment and had a great afternoon.
“We would like to thank Rushcliffe Borough Council for the invitation as well as Proludic, the company who constructed the new park facilities, for the goodie bags they provided for our pupils – a very kind gesture that topped off a fantastic afternoon.”
Proludic MD Rob Baker said: “We are thrilled to unveil the new additions on the playground at Rushcliffe Country Park, featuring our Kanope Tower, pendulum pod swing, and an Inclusive Wheelchair Accessible Seesaw.
“At Proludic, we are dedicated to creating play spaces where every child, regardless of their abilities, can participate and have fun. This new playground embodies our commitment to inclusivity and adventure, and we can’t wait to see the joy it brings to the local community.”
