Next month Ruddington Village Market celebrate their first birthday, promising their usual selection of over 30 artisan food, drink and craft stalls, plus some very special anniversary surprises, all hosted at the White Horse Inn on Church Street on Saturday 1st February from 9am. With regular stalls offering seasonal fruit and vegetables, fresh bread, farm butchers, pies, cheese, eggs, spices, doughnuts, brownies and more, the market is run by the Ruddington Village Centre Partnership, a group of local businesses, councillors, church and community groups and local residents, all working together to bring shoppers into the centre of the village and boost the independent high street economy. The birthday celebration follows the team recently being named Community Group of the Year in the Celebrating Rushcliffe Awards. To celebrate their birthday, live music and entertainment comes from YouNG, an initiative run by Trent Bridge Community Trust aimed at helping young people into the world of work.
Sue Matthews, project manager for Ruddington Village Market, is looking forward to the year ahead, starting with the birthday market. “We look forward to welcoming our ever popular regular stallholders, along with some exciting new traders, live entertainment, prizes and birthday specials!”
