Ruddington teacher offers FREE Mindfulness Sessions to Support Mental Health & Wellbeing During Lockdown.
My name is Jakki Pritchard, I am a local mindfulness teacher based in Ruddington. I have been teaching mindfulness in the local community for over two years.
During this time of overwhelming uncertainty for us all I want to find a way to connect with and help (in any small way I can) individuals in the local communities to manage their mental and physical health though this unprecedented experience which is rocking us all to the core.
Particularly for those who live alone, the elderly or vulnerable, the lockdown may mean an increased risk of loneliness, depression and decreased physical health.
At times like this it can feel like we are holding our breath, hooked into fear, worry, anxious thoughts, panic and feelings of being overwhelmed. Mindfulness meditation helps us to take a moment to step back and unhook from the grip of these thoughts and emotions. It gives us space to breathe out and time to respond to how we are feeling with a sense of kindness and compassion. It is incredibly supportive, helpful and grounding through a time of such uncertainty and fear.
I am offering FREE brief 15-minute mindfulness sessions either over the phone, Skype or Zoom. These can be done on a one -to-one basis or via a group meditation meeting over Zoom which is welcoming, non-judgemental, supportive and incredibly nourishing.
The times are flexible, but currently I will be available for sessions on:
Mondays 10-11am.
Wednesdays 12.30-1.30pm.
Fridays: 12.30-1.30pm.
