Gin Bars:
Gincident, 46 Friar Lane
Situated on Friar Lane, opposite the Kitty Café is Gincident, the home of all things gin! Bring your loved one along for a memorable evening, with over 150 drinks to choose from you’ll both be spoilt for choice! Whether you are into citrusy, spiced or dry gins, Gincident has something for you!
Juni, 8-10 Low Pavement
Last year Nottingham welcomed its first gin lab, Juni on Low Pavement. Try their own brand of gin, Juni 93, bursting with flavoursome Serbian Juniper berries. As well as a gin lab and bar, they also offer cocktail masterclasses and tasting events, a great way to spend time with friends and meet like-minded people. Alongside your beverage, indulge in a few nibbles off their Balkan-inspired menu – yum!
Ginious, 100a Chilwell Road
What once was known as Beeston’s best kept secret is now the bustling bar, Ginious on Chilwell Road. Home to over 60 handpicked gins, ranging from the classics to rhubarb & ginger, chocolate orange flavour and many more – you won’t find a plain gin here! A drink always tastes better with nibbles, so why not order one of their gorgeous antipasti sharing boards.
During your visit at Ginious, ask the staff about their Alice in Wonderland afternoon tea, a unique experience where the tea/coffee is switched with flavoursome gin – ooh!
Wine Bars:
Another? Wine Bar, 9 Trinity Square
Nottingham’s first ever self-serve wine bar found its home in Trinity Square. Offering over 30 wines, including Sparking wines and Champagnes, you won’t be stuck for inspiration. At Another? Wine Bar you don’t have to worry about queuing as all drinks are on a tab, making for a relaxed night out. The card you are given will allow you access to a wine machine where you can enjoy tasting various wines, whether it be a 25ml sample or a 175ml glass. On warmer nights venture outside to explore their picturesque Champagne and Prosecco garden – a romantic night to remember!
Dino, 9 Warser Gate
Known for their selection of fine wines and Champagnes is Dino’s, a relaxing, family-run bar on the edge of the historic Lace Market. As well as wine, they also offer delicious Mediterranean cuisine to be enjoyed by all. Home to various Champagnes, white, red and rosé wines to choose from you just can’t resist!
Veeno Nottingham, 15 Middle Pavement
Indulge in everything Italian at Veeno Nottingham, a quaint wine café. The story began when two Italian men met in Manchester; sharing their mutual love for Italian Aperitivo, the cultural tradition of drinking, nibbling and relaxing after work. Offering quality Sicilian wines alongside tasty appetisers – perfect for a night out! You can either try their wine from Caruso & Minini, their family vineyard in Sicily or enjoy one of their delicious guest wines. This Valentine’s Day why not share a bottle of Wine of Love, a combination of elderflower, floral notes and fruits – lovely!
Cocktail Bars:
The Alchemist, 11 Kings Street
Head to Kings Street for a whole new way of dining. With a dark theatrical flair, here you’ll find a unique and magnificent experience that everyone is craving! With their creative cocktails and darkly delicious dining, The Alchemist can be found in the stunning listed building on King’s Street.
Parliament Bar, 67 Upper Parliament Street
Located in what used to be the old Nottingham boozer now is the vibrant, African influenced Parliament Bar. Come along and make your own cocktails from 6pm -9pm Sunday to Thursday, bring five friends and you can all enjoy an eventful evening together! Looking for an evening or weekend hangout? Head to Parliament Bar and indulge in a tipple of two from their extensive drinks menu whether it’s a Daiquiri, Black Panther or Long Island Ice Tea.

Pitcher & Piano, High Pavement
Pitcher & Piano, one of Nottingham’s most stylish dining venues, with stained glass windows, exposed brick archways and beautiful interiors – perfect for any occasion. Indulge in their range of delicious cocktails, worldly wines and boutique beers over a meal with your partner this Valentine’s Day. ALTO, Corner House
As you enter the Corner House, just two levels up you’ll find Alto; with four stylish bars, a VIP area, and their lovely terrace area. Indulge in a tipple or two with your loved one whilst snuggling up under a blanket under the stars – so romantic! Alto pride themselves on their fabulous cocktails alongside world beers, local ales, great wine and non-alcoholic options. Before you dance into the night, glance over their tasty menu.

Real Ale Pubs:
The Cross Keys, 15 Byard Lane
Situated just minutes from shops and iconic landmarks is The Cross Keys on Byard Lane. This historic venue is home to a wide range of beers, including seven hand-pulled cask ales and a great variety of craft beers and kegs. Want a low-key Valentine’s Day, this is the place to be, with comfy seating, a great vibe and friendly locals. Cheers with a pint of refreshing ale this February – perfect!
The Crafty Crow, 102 Friar Lane
A dog-friendly pub with plenty of beers and real ales to try. With real ales on rotation and some of the best independent food and drink in Nottingham, The Crafty Crow is the place to go. Now, we’ve all heard of a beer with your meal, but a meal cooked with beer – unusual but worth a try!
