Robert Miles Junior School had the traditional busy end of Autumn term with lots happening in the countdown to Christmas including assessments, festivities and, of course, the all-important performances.
Christmas carol concerts took place with children singing some of the long-time school favourites along with seasonal songs in French, German and Spanish linking to other areas of the school’s curriculum. The Y3 and Y4 children also performed a special Christmas poem in Mandarin.
A firm children’s favourite is the Christmas Lunch which took place on the final Wednesday of term when they were treated to Roast Turkey with all the trimmings. The children are also going to be singing carols under the Butter Cross before they head off for the Christmas holidays.
The new term starts at Robert Miles Junior School on Tuesday 9th January. There are some places available at the school – please get in touch with the Headteacher, James Evelyn on 01949 875011, if you would like to find out more and arrange a tour of the school.
The infant/junior school model means the children have experience of a new setting before they make the big move to secondary; many of the children find this an invaluable experience.
