Recognition for Clean and Green champion

27/01/2020 by Digital Media

In December, the Mayor visited Mark Topham who is a service user of Broxtowe Day Service at The Barncroft Centre, Beeston. When on his way to the centre, Mark always stops and collects litter on his route. In recognition of his hard work the Mayor presented a certificate of special recognition, along with a Clean and Green hi-vis jacket, litter picker and pair of gloves to help continue his work.

Clean and Green is a campaign run by Broxtowe Borough Council as part of an initiative to make Broxtowe a cleaner place. The initiative aims to encourage individuals, community groups, schools and businesses to take collective responsibility for keeping the Borough clean and tidy and to encourage everyone to recycle more.

Mark has been a true champion of the Clean and Green initiative and it is hoped that he continues his great work!
