As the nights get lighter and the weather becomes warmer, the excitement for many starts to build as the cricket season draws closer.
Radcliffe on Trent CC are a family-friendly club that aims to provide cricket for all ages and abilities. Running three senior sides and six junior sides for both boys and girls starting from as young as five years old.
Whether you’ve recently moved to the area, looking to get back into it or a total beginner looking to play for the first time, Radcliffe-on-Trent Cricket Club welcomes new members young and old.
The club has a thriving junior section training on Friday evenings in the spring and summer starting on Friday 24th April. School aged children 5 to 7 are able to participate in the ‘Little Bash’ from 6pm and ‘Kwik Cricket and Hardball’ for children 8 years and over between 6.30pm – 7.30pm. The junior registration day for new and existing members is on Sunday 29th March from 2-4pm.
Our senior section train every Thursday night, starting on 9th April from 6.00pm.
The Saturday 1st XI play in the Nottinghamshire Premier League and they will be looking to improve on last seasons’ 7th placed finish. They welcome a few new signings, including professional and former Pakistan ‘A’ player Agha Salman who will be arriving in April for the summer.
The club also has 2 other Saturday teams that compete in the South Nottinghamshire Cricket League as well as a midweek XI that competes in a 20 over a side cup competition.
Another hugely important part of the clubs successes are the car boot sales. These are scheduled for the following dates in 2020 – May 3rd, June 7th, July 5th, August 2nd, September 6th & September 27th. With the gates opening from 6am. Please note, these dates are subject to change.
Finally for the 2020 season, the club are looking to secure a number of new sponsors for the upcoming season. There are a number of differing opportunities available for local businesses, which range from main club sponsorship, through to specific senior or junior section sponsorship. Alongside match day and around the ground boards and signage.
