On Monday 5th February the Radcliffe Manor House received a cheque for £2,000 from the Hartwell Charity whose purpose is the relief of those in need “by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, either generally or individually, of people living in the parish of Radcliffe on Trent”.
Radcliffe Manor House is a not-for-profit charitable trust, providing care for those who need extra support in their advancing years.
Sue Clegg, the Chair of the Manor House Management Committee is pictured in the extensive gardens accepting the cheque from Carol Chambers, one of the Hartwell Charity trustees. Sue stated that the money will be used for two purposes: firstly to refurbish the courtyard area and make improvements to the raised beds. These raised beds provide an opportunity for residents to engage on a practical level in the garden without the need to bend down to ground level.
Secondly to promote the Home’s new daycare facility. Please contact the Home Manager Mel Barron on 0115 911 0138 for further details of this promotion.
The Management Committee is grateful for donations and continually seeks ways to enhance the lives of its residents, recently allocating donations to funding new garden furniture. By the summer of 2024 it is planned to have an even better outdoor environment for residents, relatives and staff to enjoy.
