Play areas at Rushcliffe Country Park and Bridgford Park close from 3pm on March 23

23/03/2020 by Digital Media

Play areas at Rushcliffe Country Park and Bridgford Park will close until further notice from 3pm on Monday March 23 in light of COVID-19.

In line with central government advice on social distancing, the areas will close to assist the authority’s guidelines in reducing the transmission of the virus.

A Rushcliffe Borough Council spokesperson said: “Park users and all residents’ health is of paramount importance and we have not taken this decision lightly.

“For now the main park areas will remain open for physical exercise and dog walking but please observe social distancing measures to help reduce the transmission of coronavirus by avoiding large gatherings.

“We will monitor the situation in the coming days and weeks in line with the government’s advice.

“Please visit www.rushcliffe.gov.uk for the latest updates on all our services and the support available to our communities.”
