Nottingham University Samworth Academy (NUSA) have appointed Matthew Turton as their new Headteacher.

The Bilborough-based academy – which is part of the Nova Education Trust – is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and  provides a caring community for students to grow, learn and achieve together, both academically and as young people.
Matthew Turton said: “I am determined to build on the excellent work that has already taken place.
“My mission is to ensure the school is a true beacon of excellence across the city, and a school that provides a truly transformational experience for all connected with it.”
Andy Seymour, Director of School Improvement, said: “We are delighted to have secured someone with Mr Turton’s expertise and experience.
“We are excited to see the impact that he will undoubtedly have on the NUSA community.
“He is an experienced Headteacher and Trust leader and brings a wealth of experience to the role.
“His values driven approach to education aligns seamlessly with our values of purpose, grit and integrity.
“He is deeply committed to transforming the lives of its pupils and the community the school serves.”
Nottingham University Samworth Academy is part of the Nova Education Trust.
