Nottingham Playhouse reveals online activities for February half term

Nottingham Playhouse have announced another of its famous Family Fests, and will be providing a whole week of fun-filled activities for February half term.

The new programme continues the Playhouse’s reputation for original and imaginative activities to keep children entertained. The collection of 15 classes range from dance classes and drama games to creative writing and free teatime story telling. Each session will be hosted online by an expert theatre practitioner.

Martin Berry, Head of Participation at Nottingham Playhouse, said: “The latest lockdown has been incredibly hard for families in Nottingham and beyond, with colder days and darker nights making it ever more difficult to keep children entertained. We hope that our range of online classes will offer some warmth and light this February half term – as well as adding a good dose of fun and silliness to households across the county.”

Also visiting the Playhouse this February is a production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Available to view on demand, families can buy either a 3, 5 or 7 day pass so little ones can watch this magical, colourful show as many times as they want.

In addition, Nottingham Playhouse have worked with Inspire to create a new Story Explorers adventure. Rainforest Rescue is a free, playful and interactive online storytelling adventure for children aged 2 – 5 who want to join Little Owl as he journeys deep into the rainforest to rescue the amazing animals he finds there.

Places for Family Fest and tickets for The Very Hungry Caterpillar can now be booked online by heading to: www.nottinghamplayhouse.co.uk/whats-on/.
