NOTTINGHAM PANTHERS CHARITIES: 2025-26 SEASON

01/08/2025 by Digital Media

Nottingham Panthers are proud to announce our Charity of the Year and our eight Charities of the Month for the 2025-26 season.

The response was simply outstanding with over 100 different charities put forward by supporters.

The chosen charities are as follows…

Charity of the Year: Switch Up
Nottingham charity Switch Up provide life-changing support to disadvantaged young people and families in communities affected by crime and violence.

Their work targets those individuals who are in desperate need of intervention and have become disengaged with society, are vulnerable and at risk of radicalisation, homelessness, crime and may have experienced trauma and poverty.

Through sport, mentoring and personal development, they improve the mental and physical wellbeing of young people to provide the confidence and motivation to re-engage with education, training and employment and realise their true potential.

Dr Marcellus Baz BEM, Founder and CEO of Switch Up and the Marcellus Baz Foundation, said: “We are incredibly proud and humbled that Switch Up has been chosen as the Charity of the Year with the Nottingham Panthers for the 25-26 season.

“This partnership is a powerful reflection of what can be achieved when a city stands in solidarity to support its most vulnerable. Using our award-winning Five Pillar model, we help young people transform their lives and move into education, training and employment.

“With the backing of the Panthers – and the wider Nottingham community – we can deepen our impact, inspire real change and build a brighter, more hopeful future for all. A heartfelt thank you to the Panthers and everyone involved. Together, we are showing what’s possible when compassion, community and action come together.”

September: Team Edward Labrador Rescue
October: My Sight Notts
November: Nottingham Hospitals Charity
December: Nottingham Central Women’s Aid
January: Electrical Industries Charity
February: Defibs 4 Grassroots Football

Nottingham Panthers Fan Liaison Officer, Lisa Rawding, said: “We have been blown away by the amazing response to our appeal for supporters to put forward charities.

“As ever, it was really tough to select the charities as there were so many fantastic nominations put forward.

“We’d like to welcome all the selected charities and we are excited to work with them all in the coming months.”
