NCHA seeks Multi-Trade Apprentices

03/03/2026 by Digital Media

Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) is proud to be one of the region’s most supportive and forward‑thinking employers, offering rewarding careers right here in Clifton.

As a key provider of housing, care, and support services across the East Midlands, NCHA plays a vital role in maintaining safe, warm and energy‑efficient homes for local residents. Now, they’re investing in the next generation through their exciting Multi‑Trade Apprentice opportunities.

These apprenticeships offer much more than traditional training. Successful applicants join NCHA’s Property Services team, gaining hands‑on experience across a wide range of trades, including painting, decorating, joinery, plumbing and plastering, all while earning a starting salary of £17,000 per year.

As part of the Property Maintenance Operative Level 2 programme delivered by Access Training, apprentices split their time between practical on‑the‑job learning and supported college study. They also benefit from access to experienced mentors, structured development plans and the chance for salary progression as their skills grow.

After 12 months, apprentices who demonstrate strong progress may even advance to a Level 2 or Level 3 specialist trade apprenticeship, opening the door to long‑term careers in areas like plumbing, gas engineering or painting and decorating.

NCHA is committed to nurturing talent from all backgrounds and particularly welcomes applications from local young people who are enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn. No previous experience is required, just the right attitude and a passion for building a meaningful future. Closing date is Wednesday 11th March 2026.

For Clifton residents looking to kickstart a career in skilled trades, NCHA truly is a great place to work, grow and make a difference.
