Spring is well and truly here! Gardens have emerged from their winter neglect. Bulbs are blooming, shrubs and trees are in leaf, and the grass probably needs cutting! Time to think about the summer just around the corner, which is what the people living on Musters Road are doing. Yes, Musters Road Open Gardens will be back this year after a two-year absence and it’s going to be better than ever. More gardens, more tea and cake – more things to see, do and enjoy!
The important date is Sunday 12th June. Katy Allen, the MROG organiser says “ Plans are well under way and we can’t wait to meet up with our friends up and down the road and all the people who come from far and wide for a fun afternoon. It’s a real community event, involving children, parents and staff at Jesse Gray School as well as all the individual gardeners.”
Katy is keen to make it clear that any Musters Road residents not yet signed up will still be extremely welcome, either to open their garden or to help in the organisation and – most importantly – the baking. And, as ever, the pleasure of the event will be in the variety of gardens, big and small, sunny and shady, neat, tidy or more relaxed – every garden has its charms!
So this is a date for the diary and a shout-out to people on Musters Road who would like to take part – get in touch with Katy on 07894 718333 or email [email protected]. Everyone welcome!
