Churchill Retirement Living’s Manor Lodge community welcomed Ruth Edwards, local MP for Rushcliffe, to its Coronation tea party to mark the official opening of the development in Ruddington.
Ruth Edwards MP joined Owners to take part in a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony, along with 26 prospective Owners who are in the market for the ideal place to spend their retirement. The group enjoyed an afternoon tea and raised a glass to King Charles III, whilst dressed in red, white and blue and waving union jack flags.
Ruth Edwards MP comments on her visit: “I was delighted to be asked to officially open Churchill’s new Manor Lodge development here in Ruddington, and to join the Owners for their Coronation Tea Party celebrations. Specialist retirement housing like this is proven to have a beneficial effect on older people’s health and wellbeing, be it from being in a modern, warm, well insulated home to having a sense of community which helps to beat loneliness. It was great to meet some of the new community now calling Manor Lodge home, and to hear how much they are enjoying their new lifestyle there.”
Manor Lodge comprises 43 one and two-bedroom apartments that feature a secure camera entry system, energy-efficient heating and fully integrated kitchens to help those who want to live a low-maintenance lifestyle as a retiree. As seen across the board in Churchill’s developments, Owners have access to an exclusive Owner’s Lounge, equipped with a coffee bar where the views of the landscaped gardens can be enjoyed, or an afternoon can be whiled away with a hot drink and a good book.
The development in Ruddington, has now surpassed 60% sold, so those interested in low-maintenance retirement living are encouraged to get in touch now to avoid disappointment.
Bernadette Hennelly, Regional Marketing Manager at Churchill Retirement Living Midlands, said: “We were delighted to welcome both local retirees and Ruth Edwards MP to our Coronation event at Manor Lodge, which really showed prospective Owners what life as part of a Churchill development is like. Creating an authentic community at our developments is what we strive for, so even if a Coronation is a rare event, community events for all to enjoy are certainly a regular occurrence for us. An event of this magnitude is a perfect example of people from different walks of life being brought together in a moment of celebration and joy, a feeling we strive to recreate amongst Owners.”
