The Nottingham Clean Champion volunteers continue to go out when they can as the litter problem really is not abating.
Nottingham Trent University continue to clean the grass banks that front the campus railings on the A453; it’s not their responsibility but they have pleaded to help keep the area clean.
A453 KFC have newly appointed Rob (Manager) and Ruairi (Assistant) who are keen to keep the store grounds litter free.
Having taking up the matter with fellow managers at Tesco Express and McDonald’s they have agreed to a joint “deep clean” effort at the end of April. Of course a takeaway is a great treat but it would be caring and respectful if all, discarded the empty packaging in
a bin or simply took it home.
A big clean-up of areas in Clifton East and West will take place on 10th and 14th May, where the following people will be involved: Litter Action Days, with local councillors and council street team, A453 businesses, NTU, Lark Hill seniors, local youth and school groups and volunteers.
