Hello! We hope you’re all OK and enjoying the warmer weather!
You may have heard recently that the majority of scientists now think that we’re headed for 2.5 degrees of warming by 2100, going well above the 1.5 degrees target (which is already bad but less bad than 2.5 degrees).
They have predicted a “semi-dystopian” future. It doesn’t sound good, but we cannot give up. Every thing we do makes it better for the children of tomorrow.
We truly believe that the main point of individual action and community collaboration is building collective awareness and a sense / knowing that we CAN actually change things when we come together. Just as there are climate tipping points, there are also social tipping points.
With that in mind, we’re hosting another event on Tuesday 9th July at Middle Street Resource Centre where a speaker from Nottz Garden Project will be discussing their work on an urban community gardening scheme in Radford, Nottingham.
All are welcome.
If you would like to find out more information about the talk, please email [email protected].
We are also planning on hosting another wider networking session in September. Keep your eyes open for more details.
