Lady Bay Pop Up Cafe partners with Education For The Children

11/02/2021 by Digital Media

Following the success of their first ever virtual ball with Masterchef’s Laurence Henry, West Bridgford based Education For The Children are engaging in a partnership with another local dining star to present an evening of food and fun.

In-person events are still off-limits so the charity hopes to have another successful fundraiser with a virtual get together.

On Thursday 18 March, Education For The Children will join with Lady Bay Pop Up Cafe to deliver a scrumptious artisan Indian meal direct to the doors of its Nottingham based supporters. Priced at £20 for a meal for 1 and £40 for a meal for 2, households can enjoy a freshly prepared taste-sensation which includes a donation to the charity.

Guests will also be able to Zoom with their fellow diners, enjoy a live link up with the team in Guatemala and take part in a raffle.

To book visit www.eftc.org.uk/en/get-involved/our-events  and click the link on the page or email:  enquiries@eftc.org.uk or calling EFTC on 0115 958 4876. Virender and Paul Rose are generously giving their time and have worked to keep costs down to give maximum benefit to the 700 students who study at the School of Hope in Guatemala.

Virender Rose said: “Our Pop Up Cafe has gone from strength to strength over the past year and we’ve loved our diners’ positive response to our monthly events. Wholesome, restoring food in a shared experience is at the heart of what we do at Lady Bay Pop Up Cafe and we know that Education For The Children recognizes students’ nutritional needs are at the heart of nourishing learning and wellbeing.”

Mahalia Carroll said: “Our ability to raise funds via in-person events nearly one year on, is still completely stifled.  It’s wonderful to have the chance to work with a local entrepreneur who is so passionate about nutrition and flavour. Our virtual events help ensure that our students’ futures will not be casualties of the pandemic. All funds raised from this event will go towards returning our students to the classroom in April, ready to learn.”
