Exciting news after a two year postponement owing to Covid restrictions Lady Bay Arts Trail is back and will be celebrating 27 years of arts events since first launching as open studios in 1995.
Always a forerunner in welcoming visitors to find out more about contemporary art and design, Lady Bay guarantees another fantastic weekend introduction to some of the best art in the region.
What’s happening this year?
The event will take place over the weekend of the 14th & 15th May between 11am – 5pm.
It is anticipated opening a maximum 35 venues with 60 exhibitors.
Lady Bay Arts Trail’s unique reputation as a community based art festival is hosting regional artists and designers who live and work in the East Midlands. There will be a chance to meet artists and to experience a range of outstanding art outside galleries and formal exhibitions. Venues this year will be as varied and exciting as ever. Visitors can expect a stunning range of contemporary art and design exhibited in homes, studios and gardens including local businesses and public spaces in All Hallows Church and Halls. Lady Bay Primary, Scout Hall, Pubs & Cafés.
Extra attractions will be community art projects aimed at participation for both children and adults exploring through art, dance, poetry and creativity our environment and how we understand the places where we live. Lady Bay School will be a main entry point as a hub of activity with workshops and artists’ shows aimed at both children and adults. From here it will be possible to explore the rest of the arts trail where refreshments will be widely available.
Lady Bay is pleased to host new group exhibitions in All Hallows Church and Halls bringing together a number of regional artists.Other artists and designers will be showing in the Scout Hall. Both venues will have refreshments served by Lady Bay Pop Up Café and Scout Hall Café respectively.

Weekend Ticket: Admission will be Free
Wheelchair and disability access is restricted in homes, gardens and studios but the main public exhibitions including Lady Bay Primary are wheelchair accessible.
The Arts Trail is organised by artists and designers who live in Lady Bay and who volunteer to plan, advise and organise the arts trail line up. Big thanks to all other volunteers in Lady Bay who pledge their time and support as hosts, organisers and helpers.
