Keyworth & District Probus Club

28/06/2025 by Digital Media

Keyworth & District Probus Club boasts over 50 members with a wide range of PROfessional and BUSiness experience.

Members meet every two weeks for a talk followed by a meal.  Recently we have learnt the history of canals, racing with Bentley Motors, the wreck of the Mary Rose and probably know more about Greenland than Donald Trump! The latest trend is for our own members to give talks influenced by their own experience and we are looking forward to a discussion on climate change and tales of the Open University.

Following a recent road safety talk from Via (Nottinghamshire Highways) a number of members have volunteered for a driving assessment.  Let’s hope they are all pronounced fit to be out on the roads in control of a car!

In the last 12 months there have been regular Spring and Christmas lunches plus visits to breweries, pork pie making and a space observatory.  We are also making plans for our annual coffee morning in July which is open to all and makes money for local good causes.

Probus is always open to welcome new members. For more information contact our secretary Dennis Hackett on 0115 9372569.
