Kath Marriott named Chief Executive at Rushcliffe Borough Council

06/04/2020 by Digital Media

Kath Marriott has been named as permanent Chief Executive at Rushcliffe Borough Council.

The Council passed a recommendation at its Full Council meeting on March 5, accepting her progression into the role.

Mrs Marriott started the position on an interim basis in July last year and now assumes the permanent appointment having been Deputy CEO since 2015 and Executive Manager for Transformation at the Council since 2012. She originally joined the authority as Community Engagement Manager in 2008.

Kath said: “I am delighted to now be confirmed in post and will continue to work with elected members, colleagues and partners to deliver great services to our 119,000 residents.

“It is a real honour to be appointed to this role on a permanent basis. I am totally committed to Rushcliffe, both the council and the place, and we have many exciting projects coming up. The Council has had great successes over the years and I want to build on that and ensure that Rushcliffe remains as a great place with a great lifestyle and great sport.”

Leader of the Council Cllr Simon Robinson warmly welcomed the news. He said: “The Cabinet and I have been very pleased with Kath’s appointment and smooth succession to the role since July. I am sure she will maintain our momentum as a Council even further for the benefit of residents.”
