Carols by Candlelight
Saturday 23 December 2023, 3pm
St Edmund’s Church, Holme Pierrepont Hall

This Christmas, West Bridgford’s professional vocal ensemble, The Neville Consort, will bring glorious music for Advent and Christmas and festive readings to St Edmund’s Church, Holme Pierrepont Hall.

The concert will feature beloved carols such as ‘The Holly and the Ivy’ and ‘Away in a manger’ and ‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing’.

Specialising in one-voice-per-part performances of European sacred music, the Neville Consort is composed of eight of the finest singers in the Midlands. This versatile, intimate ensemble conveys clarity of expression and subtlety of interpretation to elevate the music for performer and audience alike.

Founder and Artistic Director, James Neville, was a Choral Scholar in the world-famous choir of King’s College Cambridge and studied conducting with Stephen Layton, director of internationally-acclaimed-ensemble, Polyphony.

Set against the historic backdrop of Holme Pierrepont Hall on the edge of West Bridgford, this concert promises to be a magical start to Christmas.

Advance tickets £14 via Eventbrite or £16 on the door.  Children under 16 free.  Ample parking is available outside the church.
