Trent Acoustic Roots and Folk (TARAF) is a first-Sunday-of-the-month music event at the Royal British Legion club, Main Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent.
It is a friendly gathering and welcoming opportunity for those who wish to sing, play, sing and play or simply listen to contemporary and trad roots, country, blues and folk music.
There’s always an open mic for those who wish to perform at our sing-arounds and on alternate months we feature great local acts, solo singer/songwriters, duos, trios etc. Doors open at 19:00 and the music starts at 19:30. There’s a fully-stocked bar serving a great range of hot and cold drinks, craft beers, wines and spirits.
What better way can there be of spending a Sunday evening?
On 4th December we’re host to AJAR (Ally, Juliet and Rick) a delightful local folk trio from the Lady Bay/West Bridgford area who play a variety of traditional and contemporary songs with great multi-instrumental and vocal arrangements. You are guaranteed a fine evening’s entertainment.
We don’t do tickets – just come along and pay the entry fee of £5 each at the door. Because it’s our December meeting there’ll be mince-pies as well and look out for the famous Taraffle in the interval!
