West Bridgford based Nottingham Touch Club had an amazing 26 players representing England (and two representing Wales) at the 2022 European (and junior European) Touch Championships this summer.
The club were represented in every age group across 17 different teams from U15 to over 50, showing the strength of the club from top to bottom.
If representing your country isn’t good enough, every club player representing their country won either a gold or silver medal with their team!
The main event was held at Nottingham University with 60+ teams from 17 countries, with the Junior Championships being held in Vichy, France.
Four of the juniors pictured (left) Sam Dean, Ollie Simon, Ellis Pearce & Phoebe Simon, were lucky enough to be supported by the Rushcliffe Borough Council Elite Sports Grant.
As well as players, Nottingham Touch Club were also very proud to provide two team managers, three team coaches, one referee and 15 hard working volunteers.
Photographed (below) are a few of the club members (players with medals, coaches and volunteers) who were involved in making the events such a success.
