How you can download a free copy of Clifton author’s new book

08/11/2021 by Digital Media

The Hangman’s Turn is a historical fiction book by local author and Clifton Craft Market organiser, Alice Burton.

Alice is giving our readers the chance to download a copy of her book for free by simply following this link: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/ro8codd8gh

Alice said, “Before I established the market in 2005, I was trying my hand at writing with a series of Dark Fantasy books, when we went into lockdown I was able to do much more by ways of writing. I left a lot of the dark fantasy to the side for a short while, which I’m still working on, and I began to focus on Nottingham History.

“That’s when I created The Hangman’s Turn, it is historical fiction, and it’s taken off amazingly”

The Hangman’s Turn can be downloaded for free and just requires a mailing list sign-up, which will include regular updates and free or discounted books.

The Hangman’s Turn

In the Town of Nottingham, 1810, a new opportunity presents itself to the higher classes; industry begins filling the town of Nottingham. The aristocracy rules the weak and vulnerable, all from the comfort of the Lion’s Chambers Gentleman’s Club. Town executioner, George Smith, has seen some of the worst villains within the walls of Nottingham Gaol, robbers, thieves, highwaymen, rapists, and murderers. At the end of George’s rope, they all meet their fate. Fate is placed into the hands of the hangman. He is a man of God, and God’s family must prevail. This stand-alone book is part of the Grim Nottingham series, a series of fictional books exploring the dark side of Nottingham.
