The tranquil outdoor space, located at Highfields Park, will provide a safe, private space for bereaved families and the contribution from the leading housebuilder will go towards the creation of a water feature for the garden.
Jo Sharp, Operations and Fundraising Manager at Forever Stars, said: “Whilst times have been difficult during the past 14 months or so, we have never stopped being available to support the baby loss community.
“We will be able to resume our fundraising on a bigger scale, therefore allowing us to get one step nearer to the water feature in the garden.
“Our work has never been more important than during the pandemic with isolation being the worst enemy for families who have suffered baby loss during these difficult times. Whilst most, if not all, of our fundraising and events ground to a halt, the need for us to be able to support the baby loss community of Nottingham didn’t.”

Forever Stars were founded seven years ago by Richard and Michelle Daniels following the devastating stillbirth of their daughter Emily. Since that time, the charity has successfully fundraised for and built two dedicated bereavement suites in the city’s two hospitals.
Other services provided by the charity include a full counselling service for parents and siblings of baby loss families; something that Nottingham just didn’t have before.
The charity’s serenity garden is scheduled to officially open in July and will provide a place of peace for the county’s families when needed.
Mark Cotes, Managing Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Midlands, said: “Forever Stars’ serenity garden is a fantastic project and it’s a pleasure to contribute towards the water feature.
“The charity and its volunteers support so many families across Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands, and we’re delighted to support its efforts.
“Our Community Fund scheme is designed to help a wide range of charities support those in need in the areas in which we build and we’ll look forward to seeing how Forever Stars’ serenity garden progresses.”
