“I wonder what your favourite thing about Easter is? I love the lighter nights, the spring flowers, the egg hunts and of course the chocolate! I also love the sense of hope that Easter brings – a hope that we need right now with all the troubles in our world – a hope that out of the darkest of times, light will shine again and death isn’t the end of the story”. says Rev Lydia Cartwright.
The churches in Clifton try to live out that hope by praying for their world and by sharing what they have. Holy Trinity with St Francis have launched two new initiatives recently, which they hope will be a blessing to people in Clifton:
- COMMUNITY CINEMA (family friendly film on a big screen) – 3pm – first Saturday of every month. Free entry, but booking required.
- MESSY CHURCH (crafts, activities, an interactive Bible story and a home cooked meal – thanks Co-op for helping with this!) – 4-5.30pm – third Saturday of every month. Free entry, but booking required.
The Drop-In Café (every Wednesday 9-11am) continues to offer a welcoming place for a free cuppa and chat and the Living with Loss sessions run monthly (next ones Monday 30th May, Monday 20th June & Monday 25th July 2-3.30pm) as a safe space to meet others living with bereavement.
