Help to keep Broxtowe clean

09/04/2021 by Digital Media

Broxtowe Borough Council ask that individuals, community groups, schools and businesses take collective responsibility for keeping the Borough clean and tidy and encourage everyone to recycle more.

If you would like to do a little bit more by litter picking or even organising a local litter pick, the council will happily lend you equipment as part of their Clean and Green campaign. They will even arrange collection of the waste once a litter picking event has finished.

You can also download their useful resource pack here on the Broxtowe Borough Council website which provides everything you need to organise your event including:

  • Checklists for running a litter pick
  • A risk assessments to help ensure you keep safe whilst doing your bit.(This can be tailored for your group’s safety)
  • Posters and social media graphics to use to promote the fantastic work you’re doing
  • Template press releases for you to use to promote your event

Promote your events

Don’t forget to let the council know what you’re doing so they can promote it for you too. You can do this by emailing their Communications Team at [email protected]

If you’d like to organise an event, contact their Waste and Recycling Team.  Once the details are set, they can loan you the equipment and will send you a Covid-19 risk assessment for your event. Together, we can make Broxtowe a cleaner and greener place to live.
