Good Companions are part of ‘Volunteering Week 2024’

29/06/2024 by Digital Media

Good Companions are a small, local Clifton-based charity which aims to support people who are experiencing loneliness or social isolation.  We run five weekly friendly groups in the Clifton, Wilford and Silverdale areas, and also offer a Home Visiting Scheme for people who are house-bound or struggle to leave their homes.

Good Companions are supported by a team of enthusiastic volunteers who are an essential part of provision of services.  Our volunteers tell us that they feel a sense of great satisfaction participating in our activities and supporting our service users. We offer volunteer support,
training and events.

If you would like to find out more about volunteering with us please call Sarah (Co-ordinator) on 07743 561 092 or email us on [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you.

Our forthcoming activities:
• Monday 15th July – jigsaw & book swap event plus lunch, Clifton Community Centre (as part of our extended friendship group). Starting at 11.00am. Lunch tickets available in advance only.
• Saturday 3rd August – back by popular demand – afternoon tea at Clifton Methodist Church, Rivergreen, Clifton.  Start time 1.00pm.  Tickets available in advance only.
