Free crazy golf will be available on Central Avenue in West Bridgford this weekend welcoming crowds to have a go at the quirky and fun version of the sport.
Courtesy of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), caddy shack costumed hosts dressed as comic golfers will welcome residents and visitors alike in the town centre from 11am to 7pm each day on Saturday September 4 and Sunday September 5.
There will also be accompanying music to help event goers get into the mood as they challenge each other around a crazy course that requires no tickets or pre-booking, in the event co-ordinated by Rushcliffe Borough Council.
Families and individuals are invited to bring their own picnics or enjoy a bite to eat or drink from the host of local businesses near to the lawn.
Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Business & Growth Cllr Andy Edyvean said: “It might be the end of the holiday season but we’re still continuing to welcome people to one of our high streets with fun activities and events including these fun crazy golf sessions suitable for all the family.
“Open air theatre, circus skills, aerial performances and sights and sounds of the seaside have been warmly welcomed in West Bridgford in recent days so we’re pleased a further fun feature is in place to attract people to one of our vibrant town centres.
“Come and have a go and enjoy a fun round on the features with friends and family.”
