The Nottingham Forest Vets Walking Football Club returned victorious from The 2024 Eurocopa Walking Football Tournament in Portugal.
Over 56 teams from across Europa took part over two days in the equivalent of the European Cup for Walking Football.
Forest’s team, captained by former Forest striker Nigel Jemson, and managed by Danny Boyes played 13 games, winning 12 and drawing one. The team also scored 38 goals, conceding just three.
It was a great team performance in temperatures nearing 30 degrees! The team met Bolton Wanderers in the final, where they won 2-0 with goals from Jemson and Parkes.

After the tournament, victorious manager Danny Boyes said: “It’s been great to see the club develop over the last three years into what it is today.
“We have some great people on board and it gives people the opportunity to get out and still play in the Community at our age. It is one of the fastest-growing sports across the UK and Europe.”
