Enjoy free circus skills and hoop workshops on Melton Road in West Bridgford this Saturday

27/08/2021 by Digital Media

Rushcliffe residents are reminded they can enjoy free circus skills, hoop workshops and spectacular aerial performances performed by Circus Hub, adjacent to Soothe on Melton Road in West Bridgford this Saturday, August 28 from 9am to 2pm.

It’s courtesy of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) that is encouraging customers back to the high street following COVID-19 restrictions lifting earlier this summer.

Residents young and old are encouraged to come and have a go at hula hooping and a range of fun activities whilst marvelling at the incredible flexible performers showcasing their skills in the retail area at NG2 6ET with accompanying music.

It’s all part of the Bank Holiday weekend fun when residents can also enjoy the free sights, sounds of the seaside and activities on Sunday and Monday on Central Avenue in West Bridgford and include:

Sunday August 29 – all on the Croquet Lawn, Central Avenue, NG2 5GS

  • Sandsculpting workshop – have a go at sculpting your own sand art, 11am-4pm.
  • DJ and pop-up picnic benches to enjoy a drink or bite to eat from one of the brilliant local businesses or bring your own.

Monday August 30 – all on the Croquet Lawn, Central Avenue, NG2 5GS

  • Punch and Judy shows, performances at 11am, 1pm and 2pm.
  • Caricature artists – come and have a free portrait sketched in a comic way for you to take home – 11am-4pm.
  • DJ and pop-up picnic benches to enjoy a drink or bite to eat from one of the brilliant local businesses or bring your own.

West Bridgford Farmers’ Market also takes place as normal on Saturday August 28 from 9am to 2pm.
