End of an Era for Lendrum Court to make way for new development

08/01/2021 by Digital Media

After thirty-eight years there is a change of scene in Burton Joyce.

The housing complex known as Lendrum Court has been demolished in preparation for a new development.

The complex was built in 1972 by Basford District Council as warden-aided residential units for the elderly. There were twenty-eight flats and accommodation for a warden.

There are plans for a new housing development comprising thirty-four flats and one guest apartment.
