East Leake & District Local History Society

11/09/2023 by Digital Media

On Wednesday 20th September the East Leake & District Local History Society will resume monthly meetings after the summer break with a talk by Adrian Gray about The Mayflower Pilgrims.

Our current 74 members will receive email invitations to renew their annual subscription. Visitors are always welcome to attend our meetings for a suggested donation of £5 per session.

The advantage of becoming a member is that for an annual subscription of only £18pp (£30 per couple) you can attend all 9 monthly talks covering a variety of topics such as The East Midlands Knitting Industry, Inn Signs and Local History, and History Beneath Our Feet. Members also receive a free copy of our annual journal The Leake Historian, which contains interesting articles about local history.

So why not come along to one of our meetings and pick up a complete programme of forthcoming talks. We meet in St Mary’s Church at 7:30pm on the third Wednesday of the month.  Free coffee/tea/biscuits after the talk.

We look forward to seeing you on 20th September to hear all about The Mayflower Pilgrims who sailed to America in 1620.

For further information about the Society email [email protected] or ring 01509 853246.
